The Church of the Incarnation is located at the top of a small hill in the center of Almuñécar, just behind the Town hall. It was built by the architect Ambrosio de Vico, then master of the archbishopric of Granada. It was built at the end of the 16th century and was completed in 1600. (Catholic Church)
An historical element of great importance, for the building in itself and for the large number of works of art contained inside. This Parish Church of Almuñécar presents architectural elements of a fortified building, having been prepared for defense and military use, something very necessary throughout the 17th century, when attacks were very frequent on the coast of Granada
